In the heart of the 6th arrondissement of Paris, at 29 rue de Buci, this chic and discreet private mansion with character opened its doors in spring 2023. The magnifique Haussmann-style façade, completely renovated, sets the tone: dressed stone, balconies over several storeys and modénatures. In collaboration with Bruno Borrione, we created the artistic universe for the building. The collection of works includes eleven contemporary French artists who have created original works specially to adorn the walls of the hotel. They include Frédéric Heurlier Cimolai, a painter, Virginie Hucher, also a painter, Florence Grundeler, a visual artist, and Ludovic Philippon, architect and painter. All of them have a unique language, but one thing in common: geometric abstraction, with its play on materials and colours. The curation has been generous, with very large formats - each room has one or two monumental formats, a rare occurrence - and the curation has been tailor-made, with commissions entrusted to the artists, giving them complete freedom. This collection is complemented by works on paper, objects and art books, both modern and antique, to complete this characterful setting.
